Signature, "AConan Doyle," at the top of a card, followed by the signatures of 17 others, including writer Eugene Field, Doyle's brother John Francis Innes Hay Doyle, actor Joseph Jefferson, and preacher Frank W. Gunsaulus. On verso is written a poem by attendee Alice A. Russell incorporating the names of the guests, beginning "Why this joyous turmoil? / 'Tis to greet Dr. Doyle! / Oh, who would not hustle / To see Mr. Russell . . . ." 2 pages, 8vo, written on the recto and verso of card.
