Two quarto format prayerbooks on parchment, the first in blind-tooled sheepskin over boards, approximately 2 1/2 inches thick, with text in single and double column, in red and black ink throughout, with colorful geometric horizontal chapter heads done in a variety of motifs incorporating knotwork, flowers, and other patterns, executed in black, yellow, and reddish-orange; rebacked with parchment spine, 7 1/2 x 5 3/4 in.; the other slightly smaller, in wooden boards without covering material, and a series of somewhat crude miniatures added at a later date and painted over text in the style of the genre, done in modern paint; 7 x 5 1/2 in.
