A noted painter and printmaker from Chicago, Fred Jones painted the female form throughout his career. He studied at the Art Institute of Chicago with George Neal and Eldzier Cortor. Jones became involved in the Southside Community Center in the early 1940s. His work is found in the Clark Atlanta University Art Galleries, the Evans-Tibbs collection, Washington, DC and the collection of Darrell Walker, Little Rock, AK.
