an unusual version, not appearing quite like the normal copies made for the Old Taylor Distillery Company's Giants in History series. Notably, Hardison has carved '1731 B. BANNEKER 1806' onto the front of the base in large 1/2 inch tall letters; the underside of the base is a piece of thick leather, and the face of the subject looks slightly different as well. We have no explanation as to why this piece appears this way.
