One of two editions issued in the same year, octavo, first two lines of the title printed xylographically; illustrated with text woodcut medallion portraits throughout, woodcut printer's device to title page; final leaf blank but for large printer's device present in this copy; bound in full contemporary German alum-tawed pigskin over wooden boards with large coat of arms tooled in blind to front panel incorporating two crossed keys emblazoned on a shield, clasps and catches intact, evidence on back board that this book was formerly chained; end leaves renewed, otherwise unsophisticated; damage to title page resulting in losses to the paper, bottom outside corner, including a few words in the imprint; title mounted on translucent tissue (tissue torn, in need of reversal); small library stamps from the Plauen state library in Germany to three text leaves; 5 3/4 x 3 7/8 in.

Huttich's history of Roman emperors includes reference to the Americas when it mentions treasures brought from the Indies in support of the Duke of Mayenne.
