Additional Details

". . . I conceived the idea of my first gun in 1861, and made my first gun at Indianapolis In'a in 1862. Since which time, I have made many improvements in it, and have taken out a number of patents for the same. My first gun was of .58 inch calibre. I now make guns of calibres ranging from .42/100 inch up to 1/2 inch.
My gun was adopted by the U. States in 1866, & since by most of the leading governments of the world."
