In Yorkshire, on Britain's Eastern coast, Bridlington boasts an expansive promenade and amusement complexes. Here, on a sunny summer's day the promenade is at it finest, with familes, couples, sailors and strollers all vivaciously depicted in a style which radiates England's optimism, in the best tradition of pre-war travel posters. Little is written about Greenup, a painter, who did several posters for the LNER.
