In the tradition of some of the finest French travel posters, this image depicting the cog railway running up to the Montserrat Monastery, features the silhouette of trees in the foreground, the rack railway itself in the middle ground, and the magnificent Monstserrat mountains in the background. Martra-Ballbé was a draftsman, watercolorist and engraver whose work is recognizable for its modern, Art Deco sensibilities.
