This large watercolor, possibly a prepatory study for a painting, is a scarce example of a 1960s work on paper by this distinguished Boston painter and printmaker who is known for his large-scale figurative works and social realism. Wilson later revisited this composition in 1973 same-titled etching-see lot 83.
