Just after Cappiello arrived in Paris in 1898, La Revue Blanche commissioned the young caricaturist to design this book. The Nathanson brothers had an eye for talent, and chose Cappiello to work on this high-profile project. Using his flat tones and his magical drawings, Cappiello delivers a portrait gallery of the biggest performers and entertainers in Paris at that time: including Jane Lander, Rejane and two portraits of Sarah Bernhardt. This album was one of the major stepping stones in Cappiello's career.
