Additional Details

"Upon my return from my little trip to Coburg, I had the pleasant news that Schumann's opera will not be premiered in Leipzig before Tuesday. Be so kind as to express my thanks to Mrs. Schumann for the announcements and also ask her to reserve 3 tickets for me. . . . In any case, I expressly do not wish any tickets free of charge--and since the Princess will probably arrive on the same day in Leipzig, I must ask you to have 2 of the 3 tickets assigned to boxes.
"Even better, if possible just arrange for a decent box on the first balcony and grant us the pleasure of your company during the performance of Genoveva: this last arrangement would be the most convenient. . . ."
