George Knox has seen this drawing in person and suggested the attribution to Lorenzo Tiepolo. Knox noted that the current drawing is a reworked version of The Holy Family, pen and ink and brown wash, by Lorenzo's father, Giovanni B. Tiepolo (1696-1770), which sold at Christie's, London, July 1, 1991.
