First collected edition of plays that were previously published separately; Greg's third state of title; lacking preliminary blank; contents of Cc9 verso and Cc10 recto transposed; O7 verso and O8 recto switched with O9 verso and O10 recto; bound in later speckled calf, boards tooled in gilt with the initials and arms of Sir Isaac Lyon Goldsmid (1778-1859) depicting a lion rampant holding a mortar muzzle upwards; boards worn, rebacked; purchased from Francis Edwards in 1973; 5 1/8 x 3 in.

"Although these plays had been separately published this volume is of considerable importance because, for the first time, the lyrics which were omitted in the separate editions are included. However, it has been stated that these songs are not authentic." (Pforzheimer)
