Manny Vega was born in The Bronx, NY. He received his education at the High School of Art and Design, and further training at Taller Boricua where he studied under legendary teacher and printmaker, Robert Blackburn. Vega's art is steeped in historic references to the African people's journey through the Americas, rendered here in elegant line quality.
