Additional Details

An analysis and evaluation of the present status of the slave trade and the conditions of slaves in the Southern states. Interestingly enough, the author of this pamphlet refers to the block of southern states as a "Confederacy"--in 1858. He tries to make the case that the slaves in the South were better off than their "savage" brothers and sisters still in Africa.
