Leighton of Brewer Street, ex libris William Stirling with bookplate inside front board and his emblem tooled in blind to both boards, and the bookplate of Stirling's Keir Collection of proverbs, emblems, apothegms, epitaphs and ana pasted inside back board, this particular work from the ana section; neatly rebacked; purchased from Seven Gables in 1969; 5 1/4 x 3 in.
