Rosenvinge was a prolific designer of posters for various shipping companies, including Royal Line, Anchor Donaldson Line, Allan Line, Elder Dempster Line and Orient Line, but his largest client was Cunard. When launched in 1904 the Caronia and her sister ship the Carmania (launched in 1905) were the largest in the Cunard fleet. She began her New York - Mediterranean cruises in 1906, here, seen in an inset passing Mount Etna, with views of Venice, Ventimiglia and the Alps featured in other vignettes. On April 14, 1912, the Caronia was the first ship to send wireless warnings to the ill-fated Titanic about ice fields.
