The Duchess of Richmond and the Duchess of Bedford were each deployed on West Indies Cruises through the first half of the 1930s, the former departing from Liverpool and the latter from New York. Percy Padden designed travel posters for the Royal Mail Line, Union Castle Line, Natal Line and Canadian Pacific. His daughter Daphne became a successful poster artist as well.
