Unpublished poster proposal for the movie, It Came From Hollywood (Paramount Pictures, 1982). Airbrushed gouache on board. 952x750 mm; 37½x29½ inches, matted and framed to 45⅛x37⅛ inches. Signed "R. Grossman" in lower right image.
This humorous poster art depicts a giant cracked egg dripping yolk in the shape of the word, "Hollywood." The yolk is falling to the ground where characters from classic Hollywood movies run for safety. Characters include Catwoman, The Swamp Thing, Godzilla, and the Rocketeer, among others. The artwork was presented to Paramount who ultimately chose a different illustration for the poster, as was common at the time.
