Quarto format collection of fourteen handwritten manuscripts, all dating from 1740 to circa 1774, written in Spanish and Latin, in varying hands on a variety of topics, including short dialogues, colloquies, sermons, dissertations, plays, translations, and stories; including a Historia de Ratones; a Spanish translation of Alembert's description of the destruction of the Jesuits in France; extracts from Erasmus; and a new farce, identified only as Sainete Nuevo which is actually the play Manolo by Ramón de la Cruz (1731-1794) and published for the first time in 1769; among other works; contemporary parchment over boards, 8 x 6 in.
