Additional Details

The sample envelope reads "Loyal" in large letters, with an inset reading "Green Mountain, Freedom and Unity, Vermont." It is inscribed on verso in manuscript: "We will sell you any of the Loyal Envelopes as have all the state seals including the southern states, which I will sell or continue to print them as they may be in demand. T.H.S." A related slip of paper lists 9 states which were apparently sold out. Also included are 3 business cards printed in red and blue on coated white paper, advertising the printing services of Thomas De La Rue of London. One of the cards lists P. Supple as his New York agent.
