First edition, octavo, rare Czech Jesuit imprint; the text dedicated to Prokop Adalbert, Count Czernin of Chudenices (1726-1777), numerous inscriptions to title page; bound in full contemporary sheep over thin wooden boards (back board cracked vertically, 6 1/2 x 4 in.

Gottschlich was a Jesuit university professor of humanities, philosophy, and theology. Little is known about his connection to Prague, although he likely taught at the University and had access to the college press.

Rare, one copy at the National Library of the Czech Republic; another in the Deutsche Nationalbibliothek.
