Shakespeare, William (1564-1616)
The Tragedie of Coriolanus [and] The Lamentable Tragedy of Titus Andronicus Extracted from the First Folio.

London: Isaac Jaggard, 1623.

Folio, first printing of Coriolanus, which was not issued in quarto format; comprising fifty-two continuous numbered pages [aa-dd6, ee2]; both plays textually complete; bound in full crushed brown morocco by Sangorski & Sutcliffe; ex libris John Hadmar Sticht with bookplate; some headline and fore-edge rules trimmed closely, a few cropped; 11 7/8 x 7 3/4 in.

Because Corialanus, along with seventeen other plays by Shakespeare, was never printed separately, this First Folio publication represents the first time the work saw print, and its only known source.

STC 22273; Pforzheimer 905; ESTC S111228.

Ex libris Christopher Clark Geest (1936-2023)
