Nothing is known about the artist who created a series of dynamic modernist, Art Deco-style images for United Air Lines in the 1950s. Each image in the series shows an aerial view of a prominent landmark in one of the airline's destination cities. Here, it is a close-up of Freedom the bronze statue atop the U.S. Capitol Building, and the magnificent dome itself, in Washington, D.C. Rare.
